Moving
I will be moving out of my parents' house and to an apartment in a week and a half. It's the first time I'll be paying rent on my own and also living by myself, no roommates, so I'm pretty scared about that but I'm also excited to have a space just for me. I've had to spend a hefty sum on appliances and furniture, as even secondhand things are have been expensive unless they're falling apart, but I think I'll manage to get everything I need within the budget I set for myself. So far the most expensive thing I bought was an electric bike. I don't drive but I wanna be able to get around a little more, and while I already have a regular bike, I unfortunately don't have the physique needed to get around the steep hills around here. Last time I tried to use my bike to go up a hill, I nearly threw up lmfao. I hope my purchase pays off in the long run.
I was supposed to be on a break this December, and my initial plans were to work on my website and KomuBak zine, but deciding to move out made that impossible. Choosing to move at this time made things pretty hectic too because of the holidays, but I really wanted to start off the year at my new place. I'm hoping I'll find some time for those two things once I've settled down at the apartment.
As I type this, my back is sore from packing. I can't wait for the move to be over so I can finally rest!
